Is the vehicle communication speed too slow for these days?
CAN transfer speeds are typically between 125,000 and 500,000 bits/second. In contrast, Flexray offers 10 million bits/second, Media Orientated Systems Transfer (MOST) typically offers 50 and 75 million bits/second and Ethernet delivers 100 million bits/second or more. The same order repeats itself with regards to bandwidth — CAN is once again dwarfed by Flexray and MOST, which in turn offer less bandwidth than Ethernet. 
Moore's law describes a long-term trend in the history of computing hardware. The number of transistors that can be placed inexpensively on an integrated circuit has doubled approximately every two years . The trend has continued for more than half a century and is not expected to stop until 2015 or later. In the case of automobiles, vehicle electronics and computerization follow computer chip development by a lag of seven years. The lag between the two industries provides both security, surety and efficacy benefits for the automotive industry.
